Blood Donation in Nador City

The nominee is one of special qualities in the world. He does not think only locally, but his actions have human and international dimensions. One of the campaigns he started was encouraging youth donation of blood in the city of Nador in Morocco. This campaign started because of mostly two reasons. One is the scarcity of the red substance in the city; and two to have youth as providers of the solution. Callling for donors used digital as well as oral and direct communication.

CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the campaign is not only to solve the problem of lack of blood in the city, but mostly to teach youth and people in general how to be civil agents who care for other people even if they don't know them. Engaging and directing a generation of young people was the paramount objective.

HOW THE OBJECTIVES WERE ACHIEVED

The nominee started a call for participation either directly with people or with using facebook. I personally got an invitation from there. The day of donation, he introduced me to his great mother who opted to be a model mother for all. I want to send my warmest salutations to her.

CAMPAIGN INNOVATIONS

The clearest innovation is thinking about the idea itself, there are very few people who may have the courage and will to undertake such an initiative. Ilyass did it well and right. It would have been easy to create a campaign online and wait for volunteers, but he did not just wait at this stage but went ahead with online outreach, direct calls, contacting doctors, and organising the donors - all were by the nominee who managed the whole operation alone.

CAMPAIGN IMPACT

Many youth responded including myself. The campaign had a big influence for those youth and others as they appreciated what he did.

CHALLENGES FACED

No biggest challenges were really found, only some logistics like transporting volunteers or providing some light meals after donation.
