Girl's and Women in Tech Africa Project
Girl's and Women in Tech Africa ’ is a network of young ladies in primary school up to the university level and also consist of Women in the Tech world with the capacity to inspire and lead this young girls and ladies during our yearly camps and conferences .
Increasing the technical and entrepreneurial capacity to inspire women to innovate, share wisdom, and have a voice within the industry.
Utilizing the power of technology to bring women together to shape their future and democratize the world
Facilitating learning and skill building through advanced curriculum and programming within the STEM fields.
HOW THE OBJECTIVES WERE ACHIEVED
To enable us to achieve our objectives over 200 camps have been organized and over 500 girls have been supported to attend numerous Tech camps, Science camps, ICT conferences and fairs among others
We have created a model that has enabled us to achieve our objectives we have partnered with schools,parents ,teachers and other stakeholders, we support schools with free website and management software and a laptop to enable them support our girls tech school clubs and orient parents about our camps, teachers are awarded by supporting the Girls in tech clubs. Schorlaships and other educational support are awarded to some active girls who attend the Tech camp, parents and partners who support our project receives business tools and free advert opportunities in our newsletter and which is disturbed across Ghana
500 Girls were impacted through our girls Summer Camp.
Over 1,00 youth imparted through our science and innovation fair and conference.
Over 500 Young Women were impacted through GWTECH entrepreneurship workshop for graduate women over 20 have been support with ICt tools,websites among others.
800 Market Women were impacted through Mobile banking Awareness.
Our challenge has been funding to expand to other Africa countries, we have received numerous calls for partnership by women led organizations to partner with them and carry out this project.
Each day offers us new opportunities to explore and developed new ideas to make the project better, we have learnt that extensive partnership paves way for massive growth and support, we are currently engaging WHO,Africa women Development organization, ministry of education and ministry of Gender to support our project.
